Kamahi was one of the first graduates of Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts in 2000. Prior to this, he studied in the Aboriginal Music Theatre training programme attached to the Black Swan Theatre Company, and has since performed and toured with ILBIJERRI Theatre Company and Yothu Yindi.
