We have implemented a number of changes for Woodford Folk Festival since 2023-24 and have outlined the changes (below) for you to read through so you are prepared when making your ticket and camping purchase decisions.

To make sure everybody has a comfortable and relaxing location to rest after a big day/night at the Festival we will be capping Season Camping and Day ticket with Camping ticket numbers. There will also be some exciting enhancements in our entry process too.

SEASON CAMPING

Campsite considerations

Due to a higher percentage of very large campsites and an increase in the number of cars in the campgrounds we ask that you please keep your camp site size appropriate for the number of people in your camp.

Staggered Christmas Day Arrivals

To minimise queues and traffic congestion, sales of Christmas Day Camping tickets are once again capped. We are offering two entry time options for those purchasing Christmas Day entry passes with their Season Camping Tickets.

  • Christmas Day Morning Ticket – Allows entry to season camping from 8am on the 25th. Car park queuing opens from 2 pm on the 24th December. Earlier access to carpark will not be available.
  • Christmas Day Afternoon Ticket – Allows entry to season camping from 1pm on the 25th. Car park queuing opens from 11am on the 25th December. Earlier access to carpark will not be available.
  • Please note – we really, really mean it about not arriving to queue earlier than the designated time. To keep the area safe for traffic on the roads and in respect of our neighbours we will be turning people away.

NO TARPS DOWN POLICY

We have had a bit of a problem over the last few years with tarps and ropes being used to mark out areas for future guests. Any tarps or ropes that are left marking out sites for future guests will be removed by security to ensure a fair and equitable opportunity for all of our campers to secure a beautiful spot, of which there are many, here at Woodfordia.

We will do our very best to make sure the tarp / ropes are able to be reclaimed and any left after the festival are donated to charity.

Season Campers with large RVs and caravans

  • Reserved Camping Area 10x8m (located in the season campgrounds)

Season Camping patrons with oversized RVs and vans (6.5m or greater) will have the option of booking a campsite in a designated (flat) area of the Season Campgrounds. RV’s and caravans only in this designated area.   To access this reserved area you will need to purchase a Season with Camping Ticket and a Vehicle at Campsite Pass, if you wish to have your vehicle with you at the campsite.

  • Powered sites for Season Campers in RVs / Caravans / Camper Trailers available at the Woodford Showgrounds Only

The Showgrounds will be a part of the Festival camping for Overnight Overflow Camping and RV / Caravan patrons wanting a powered site / patrons with season or day camping tickets who choose to camp there rather than the festival site.

There will be a festival ticket office and dedicated 24hr shuttle bus to/from the Showgrounds throughout, delivering patrons directly to the main festival precinct entry. A dump point is also available.

Limited powered sites available and bookings online through Woodford Folk Festival ticketing system only. You will need to purchase a Season with Camping Ticket to access this accommodation and Showgrounds Vehicle Pass.

Please note that the Showgrounds will not be able to cater for domestic animals during the festival period.

Hire Tents for Season Campers

For those Season Campers who want to take the stress out of finding a camp site, booking a hire tent with Bell Tent Camping (Hosted by Pitch Luxury) or Tent City is the way to go. Setting up camp is as simple as unpacking your bag. You can arrive anytime from the 26th onwards and your tent will be awaiting.

Festival tickets should be purchased prior to arranging accommodation in Tent City and Bell Tent Camping (Hosted by Pitch Luxury).

Important note for Season Campers who have Overnight Camping Patrons joining them.

The Season Campgrounds are for our Season Camping patrons only and Overnight Campers are not able to access this area. We will have a dedicated Season Camping area in the Overnight Campgrounds for our Season Campers who have Overnight Camping Patrons joining them and all wish to camp together. 24hr shuttles run to/from Overnight Camping to the festival precinct.

Please note that Tent City and Bell Tent Camping (Hosted by Pitch Luxury) only offer accommodation to Season Camping Patrons in the Season Camping grounds.

Day Ticket with Camping – Additional sites at the Showgrounds

Day Tickets with Camping at the festival site will be capped. Additional festival camping will be available at the Showgrounds. However, once we reach the festival grounds cap, ticketing will switch to camping at the Showgrounds and the appropriate information will be sent to ticket-holders.

A dedicated 24hr shuttle bus will run to/from the Showgrounds throughout, delivering patrons directly to the main festival precinct entry. Day Ticket with Camping patrons at the Showgrounds will be able to get their daily wristband at the Showgrounds and jump on the shuttle – a super quick and easy option.

Please note that the Showgrounds will not be able to cater for domestic animals during the festival period.

SMOKING AND VAPING

We remind patrons that for the comfort of all patrons, the entire festival, except for the Designated Smoking & Vaping Areas, is a smoke and vaping free precinct. This includes all bars, restaurants, venues, streets and performance areas. Designated Smoking & Vaping Areas are on the festival programme maps and festival crew and security will be able to direct you to these locations.
