We have implemented a number of changes for Woodford Folk Festival 2023-24 and have outlined the changes (below) for you to read through, so you are prepared when making your ticket and camping purchase decisions.
We are capping Season Camping and Day Ticket with Camping ticket numbers this year again and have made some changes to ensure better management of our entry processes camping area and venues this year.
TICKET PRICES
We have been able to hold the festival ticket component of our pricing to the same as the two previous festival years, however prices of camping tickets, vehicle passes, and Christmas Day Camping tickets have had to be increased. SEASON CAMPING
Campsite considerations
Our grounds filled up much faster last year due to higher percentage of very large campsites and an increase in the number of cars in the campgrounds. Please keep your camp site size appropriate for the number of people in your camp.
Cars at campsites
The fee for a Vehicle at Campsite pass in Season is increasing to $80 this year. We encourage you set up your camp and then take your vehicle to the Eastern Bloc Long Term Parking – only $20 for the season and easy – shuttle buses are running to/from the Long-Term Parking 8am – 4am.
Staggered Christmas Day Arrivals
To minimise queues and traffic congestion, sales of Christmas Day Camping tickets are capped this year. We are offering two entry time options for those purchasing Christmas Day entry passes with their Season Camping Tickets.
No tarps down policy
We are introducing a ‘No Tarps Down’ policy in Season Camping. It’s not fair to people arriving on the 25th and 26th to find so many sites marked out and being held for folk arriving after them. We will have security in the campgrounds on the 25th and 26th Dec and be requiring any person found laying out tarps or roping off areas for others to remove them. If unattended, the tarps will be removed by security and confiscated to be given to charity.
Season Campers with RVs and caravans
Season Camping patrons with oversized RVs and vans (6.5m or greater) will have the option of booking a campsite in a designated (flat) area of the Season Campgrounds. RV’s and caravans only in this designated area. Fee $100.
The Showgrounds will be a part of the Festival camping for Tent City Overnight campers / Overnight Overflow Camping and RV / Caravan patrons wanting a powered site. It will have its own festival ticket office and there will be a dedicated 24hr shuttle bus to/from the Showgrounds throughout, delivering patrons directly to the main festival precinct entry. A dump point is also available.
Limited powered sites available and bookings online through Woodford Folk Festival ticketing system only. Fee $140.
Please note that the Showgrounds will not be able to cater for domestic animals during the festival period.
Hire Tents for Season Campers
For those Season Campers who want to take the stress out of finding a camp site, booking a hire tent with Pitch Luxury or Tent City is the way to go. Setting up camp is as simple as unpacking your bag. You can arrive anytime from the 26th onwards and your tent will be awaiting.

The Season Camp Grounds are for our Season Camping patrons only and Overnight Campers are not able to access this area. We will have a dedicated Season Camping area in the Overnight Camp Grounds for our Season Campers who have Overnight Camping Patrons joining them. 24hr shuttles run to/from Overnight Camping to the festival precinct.
Please note that Tent City and Pitch Luxury only offer accommodation to Season Camping Patrons in the Season Camping grounds.
OVERNIGHT CAMPING – DAY TICKETS WITH CAMPING
The Woodford Showgrounds
The Showgrounds will be a part of the festival camping and home to all Tent City Overnight campers and also for overflow camping for Day Tickets with Camping (1-4 nights) once we reach our daily onsite cap.
Only 4km from the festival site, the Showgrounds offers more spacious and quieter camping, hot-water showers, an on-site festival ticket office. Ice will be available.
A dedicated 24hr shuttle bus will be running to/from the festival, delivering straight to the main event entry.
All Tent City Hire Overnight Camping will be at the Showgrounds
For those Day Ticket with Camping patrons who want to travel light, booking a hire tent with Tent City Overnight at the Showgrounds for your 1-4 nights makes setting up camp as simple as unpacking your bag. You can arrive anytime from the 26th Dec onwards and your tent will be awaiting.

Vehicles at Overnight Tent City require an Overnight Tent City Showgrounds car park pass. Fee $25. Book with your festival tickets.
Day Ticket with Camping – Additional sites at the Showgrounds
Day Tickets with Camping tickets at the festival site will be capped. Additional festival camping will be available at the Showgrounds however. Once we reach the festival grounds cap, ticketing will switch to camping at the Showgrounds and the appropriate information will be sent to ticket-holders.
A dedicated 24hr shuttle bus will run to/from the Showgrounds throughout, delivering patrons directly to the main festival precinct entry. Day Ticket with Camping patrons at the Showgrounds will be able to get their daily wristband at the Showground and jump on the shuttle – a quick and easy option.
Please note that the Showgrounds will not be able to cater for domestic animals during the festival period.

SMOKING AND VAPING
We remind patrons that for the comfort of all patrons, the entire festival, except for the Designated Smoking & Vaping Areas, is a smoke and vaping free precinct. This includes all bars, restaurants, venues, streets and performance areas. Designated Smoking & Vaping Areas are on the festival programme maps and festival crew and security will be able to direct you to these locations.
FESTIVAL PRECINCT
Venue sizes will be increased this year and we are working to return the larger food stalls with dining areas which we all so missed last year. Amenity numbers and quality are also being increased.
