Return To Woodfordia!

Cherish Arrowsmith, a loyal Woodfordian
“Coming to Woodford is something I have looked forward to for two years. I have come once before and have wanted to come back ever since, because of the amazing and friendly people and the amazing musicians.”

Growing Up With Woodford Folk Festival

I was born on the 23rd of December, so obviously missed that year, but since then I’ve been to every one. Mum’s from Eudlo used to come when the festival was at Maleny and the armbands were wooden tags with ‘Maleny Folk Festival’ burned into them.

Speakers and Ideas programme

Michael and Ludmila Doneman are two people who are absolutely passionate about new ideas, relentlessly in their interrogation of the status quo, and constantly seeking out ways to ensure everyone has a seat at the table. They’re our new Speakers and Ideas programmers, and you’ll see their influence in the programme they’ve created this year. Relationships nurtured by Jillian Rossiter and Mandi McIntyre continue to flourish.

Bukal coming to Woodford 2018

With the support of Arts Queensland, we are able to bring a very special play to Woodford Folk Festival this year, based on the life of an extraordinary woman, Henrietta Marrie.

The Tree House ‘Quandong Dream’

At The Planting, we have found so many ways to work with bamboo. A great example of this is the ‘Quandong Dream.’ Also known as ‘The Treehouse’, it was created by participants as part of a two-week masterclass group in partnership by Wan We-Chih, Sydney Art Collective and Cave Urban.
