Woodford Folk Festival 2018/19 does have a super fun music line up, with many of our favourites returning. This news alone may be enough to have you making sure your holiday request is in at work on time, but here’s something else that may have you salivating – the culinary options in our ‘Festival of Food’!
When you hear your belly starts to rumble, the delectable choices might have you stunned. In fact here’s a challenge for you, eat something different every day. If you can fathom the idea, there are more than enough options at this year’s festival to keep your appetite satiated with a different alternative every day. Eat, drink and be merry with a selection from 11 bars and over 50 eateries. Our ‘Festival of Food’ is sure to win some hearts, it’s also highly likely you will find a favorite and keep going back, the choice is yours.

We hold a high standard here at Woodfordia, all of our stalls are hand-picked to cater for gluten free, vegan, raw and vegetarian. Experiencing the many delights adds another level of wonder and enhancement to the festival. The variety opens up the door for everyone to try something new, a foodies playground or choose your own adventure – the possibilities are endless and can include anything from homemade This desserts, gluten free curries, superfood breakfast bowls, organic hotdogs, burgers, felafels, Brazilian BBQ, laksa, banh mi, Frozen Sunshine, Kombucha and coffee, even the famous Byron Bay own Organic Doughnuts are back.

Other sweet options include pastries, crepes and the new ‘Chai ‘n’ Vibes collaboration, which combines a social enterprise with a community service to provide a vegan and zero waste space to connect, hang out, catch up with your tribe or just dreamily contemplate life. If you are after something a little stronger or more vibrant, then head over to your mate Bill’s Bar or Cooper’s Bar where the musician sessions flow as freely as the beer. You may be persuaded in from the streets by the rhythms at Luna Bar or find yourself cosying up with new friends in Halcyon.
Around sunset is always a good time for our legendary Shampine which is abundant in the Pineapple Lounge. Did you know, this is the most sought after drink on site annually? It is also a recipe handed down within three generations including a secret ingredient we aren’t privy to. You will find it is a refreshing blend of white rum, ginger ale, and fruit juices topped with locally sourced seasonal fruits including fresh passion fruit, mint, watermelon and pineapple and goes very well when the daily Pine Time talent show hits the stage.
Woodford Folk Festival offers an ubiquitous menu with food and drink featured from all over the world. For more information and to plan ahead, check out the food vendors at this year’s festival on page 115 of the programme.
