TREEPLANTING WEEKEND
Since the purchase of the Woodford land in 1994, festival organisers and volunteers have planted over 68,000 trees on site. Over the years, festival patrons have watched the land transform from a dairy farm, to a lush environment with native trees providing habitats for our wonderful variety of wildlife and shade for festival patrons in their camping areas and around the festival precinct.

This May long weekend, which happens to be the last weekend in April, we'll continue our commitment to the land, aiming to plant another 3000 trees, as weel as many sedges vines and schrubs and continue with maintenance projects. The weekend will feature some great concerts, interesting discussions, films and some hands on workshops. Families are welcome, with a weekend of fun and stimulating events just for the kids.
So members and friends - Be Involved!
If you are planning to register as a participant in the working bees, you are encouraged to bring practical outdoor clothing, including a hat, sunscreen and good shoes. If you have gardening tools at home, please bring them to use, and mark them clearly with your name.We are also looking for a number of organising volunteers, to help us with the daily running of the event. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to be involved and meet others interested in the event, as well as giving you complimentary entrance to the weekend, and plenty of free time to enjoy it.
Please contact volunteers@woodfordfolkfestival.com to express your interest.
In previous weekends, we have usually experienced warm pleasant days and cool evenings and mornings. In the unlikely event of wet weather, bring a raincoat, umbrella and boots. For more information on camping at Woodford, please go to the information section on our home page.
