Tent city Vs Camping

Postby bojois » Fri Jul 23, 2010 11:18 am

Hi just wondering if anyone would give me their opinion on whether tent city is worth the extra money.. We've never camped at Woodford before, only gone for a day or 2 and stayed in Kilcoy?
Any help would be appreciated!

I've BYO camped and stayed at tent city and I would say that tent city is definitely worth the extra money. It might be different for you depending on what you like/dislike, but I drive up from 4 hours away and just the ease of not having to set up and pack away is soooo good. The fact that it has it's own toilets and shower facilities is also a good aspect. They still get line-up's but I think they get cleaned more often and it's easy to find a time when there is no line up at all. The communal area with kettle's etc etc (pretty much everything you can need) is also be great! And being so close to the festival is fantastic! When BYO camping, I had an amazing spot on the top of a hill overlooking the festival, but the trek to get in and out was rather tiring.

Sooo, after all that, I love tent city, especially if you're not staying for the whole season, and would recommend it to you!
